Cultivating SustainABLE Communities through Communication and Collaboration

Reel Change Film Festival

There’s no doubt how significantly documentaries can influence motivated audiences. In fact, few other mediums are powerful enough to reveal unique perspective, capture imagination, and trigger change. To celebrate the substantial importance of this art form, and to educate and motivate the people who enjoy it, the Fresh Outlook Foundation hosts the annual Reel Change SustainAbility Film Fest.

The festival presents critically acclaimed documentaries focused on a wide variety of social, cultural, environmental, and economic issues. Each film is followed by a panel discussion with experts representing the public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors. This hugely popular format takes moviegoers from being educated to being engaged emotionally, which is a necessary step toward positive behaviour change.

The third annual event will be held on September 23/24, 2011 in Kamloops, BC at Thompson Rivers University, and on October 21/22, 2011 at Kelowna, BC's UBC Okanagan campus. For more information contact Joanne at 250-766-1777 or jo@freshoutlookfoundation.org.
