Local Government Management Association Tom MacDonald is the executive director, local government management association, a position he has held since 2003. Tom’s career also includes 25 years in local government including positions as deputy treasurer, municipal clerk, and deputy CAO as well as three years in the private sector in the investment sector. He holds a senior certificate in municipal administration, a bachelor’s degree in economics, and a master’s degree in public administration. As well, Tom has completed the Canadian Securities program. In 2011, Tom was awarded the British Columbia Lieutenant Governor’s Silver Medal for Excellence in Public Service.
