Rob Hutchins

Rob Hutchins is currently serving his seventh term as Mayor of the Town of Ladysmith on Vancouver Island, having first been elected in 1993. He has also served as a director on the board of the Cowichan Valley Regional District since 1993. He chaired the Regional District board in 1998 and 1999 and was re- elected as chairman in December 2011. Mayor Hutchins operates a small business with his family – the Old Town Bakery in downtown Ladysmith and he recently retired after 32 years as a teacher and counsellor in the Nanaimo-Ladysmith School District. Ron earned his master of arts in education from San Diego State University in 1999.
