Jonathan Tinney

Jonathan is an urban planner and economist with a background in strategic planning, development economics, and sustainable community development. Jonathan is currently the manager of AECOM’s Vancouver-based Design Planning & Economics studio. His work experience includes all aspects of the planning and development process, from municipal policy to pro forma analysis, working with a diversity of clients, including First Nations groups, private sector developers, local municipalities, community and industry groups, and international agencies. Prior to joining AECOM, Jonathan oversaw the planning and implementation of the UniverCity model sustainable community currently being developed adjacent to Simon Fraser University in Burnaby. He also worked in a management role coordinating community liaison and planning activities as part of the development of the Canada Line rapid transit project in Metro Vancouver.
