Joe Sardinha

Joe Sardinha has operated various tree fruit orchards for the past 30 years in Summerland, BC. In 2001, Joe was elected to the executive of the BC Fruit Growers’ Association (BCFGA) and is currently in his seventh year as president. In that time, he has been active as a director in the Canadian Horticultural Council (CHC) and currently chairs the CHC Apple Working Group, one of several standing committees of the CHC. In BC, Joe has been active on the BC Risk Management Advisory Committee and recently on the Agriculture/Environment Partnership Committee. He is also an appointee on the provincial agricultural minister’s Agri-Food Trade Council. He remains an active apple grower in BC’s Okanagan valley and an advocate for the tree fruit industry.
