Gord Lovegrove, PhD

Dr. Gord Lovegrove is an assistant professor in UBC Okanagan’s School of Engineering, with expertise in applied sustainable civil engineering. His sustainability expertise from hands-on professional engineering experience and innovative, rigorous research is invaluable to the school’s teaching and research programs, as well as to the larger UBCO community. He is also a director of Kelowna's Fresh Outlook Foundation and a member of the UBC Senate. Gord has worked as a project and transportation engineer and consultant for more than 20 years in communities throughout BC, and speaks on sustainable communities and transportation at conferences around the world. He is an author, contributor and consultant on sustainability texts used today by governments and universities across North America.
