Christine Dendy
Christine Dendy is a third-generation Kelowna orchardist, shipping more than 250 tons of cherries annually, grown and packed at the family farm in East Kelowna. She is a director of the BC Agriculture Council, Okanagan Kootenay Cherry Growers Association, a trustee of the South East Kelowna Irrigation District, and active on related agriculture water committees, currently looking at how an Agriculture Water Reserve could be implemented. She has a long history with agriculture organizations, including past director of BC Tree Fruits, Sun Rype, BCTF Marketing Board, and the BC Marketing Board, as well as the Kelowna Hospital Board and Interior Savings Credit Union. She and her husband Hugh also started an orchard in New Zealand in 1998.
