Okanagan Basin Water Board Dr. Anna Warwick Sears is the executive director of the Okanagan Basin Water Board. She came to the organization in 2006 to develop the OBWB’s water management program, supporting the board’s efforts for Okanagan water sustainability. Before coming to the Okanagan, she was the research director of an environmental non-profit in California, leading large-scale watershed planning projects. Anna is particularly interested in using science to solve real-world problems and building bridges with community stakeholders. She received a doctorate degree in population biology at the University of California - Davis, studying competition for resources in arid environments.
