Amber Zirnhelt

Amber Zirnhelt is the sustainability manager with the City of Campbell River, where she focuses on community sustainability planning, waste reduction, environmental management and energy management. Amber is one of the lead staff members managing the Sustainable Official Community Plan process. She is currently leading the City’s Carbon Neutral and Community Energy and Emissions Planning, and renewable energy projects including solar, tidal, and wind assessments. Amber holds a master’s degree from the University of Edinburgh, where she focused on community planning and engagement. Prior to working for the City of Campbell River, Amber worked for Sustainable Cities International, with more than 35 cities around the world engaged in long-term sustainability planning.
