Marnie Douglas is a writer and communications strategist helping individuals and organizations build great stories and communicate messages in clear, natural, convincing language that people want to read. Marnie has more than 15 years’ experience in journalism and communications, including plain-language writing, communications planning, media relations, corporate event planning and speechwriting. Prior to launching Bold Communications in 2011, Marnie specialized in both employee and external communications at several natural gas and electrical utilities in Alberta and British Columbia as well as magazine publishing and writing for television.
